Question identifying rear gear ratio in 1931 model A

I am looking to purchase a Model A chassis and it has a transmission still attached. Ii wish to know the rear gear ratio and upon looking on the Speedo, I found the numbers 9-34. I am assuming this...

Vents in Bell Housing

I have read that vents were not in the Bell Housing of early Model A's but were added in later production. Why were they added? was it due to heat billed up or what?

Pressure Plate

I am reinstalling an original clutch and pressure plate in a car with a new engine. Is it necessary to bring the pressure plate fingers back to the 5/8ths clearance or distance?

I am ready to paint my engine and I have two different stories on what color to paint the Intake Exhaust. Some say Black and others Engine Green. This is a driver but I would like this to be correct

Oil Pan

I have a 1928 engine that needs an Oil Pan, Will a1930 Oil Pan fit on the 28 Engine?

It also has a "Power House Generator" Are these units reliable and are people still using them?.

I have an engine that I think is a 1929. The Oil Pan is different than the one on my 1930. It has the rounded area for the longer pump tube with oil drain in the bottom of it.
