Bud ,I think the tappets are continually oiled from the oil pump. It pumps oil out into the valve chamber , out the side drain pipe and to the timing cover.

I am from Illinois and you will have to apply for a special construction title from the Sec Of State. It will be a bonded title for 3 years. After that no bond on title.
I did this for my 30...

Car washes prohibit greasy parts cleaning. As you said it goes into the drains ,often cloging them. You are doing them a disservice if you do that.

Dick,if this is for your AV8, clearance can be a problem at the header.
F100 box steering shaft is at the top like an A box.
F1 box steering shaft is at the bottom ,often giving more clearance.

We put 1,432 in 2020.
We have put 28,000 on our Tudor since 2009,including a trip from Illinois to Montana,4,000 miles. We just took local drives this year.
