Re: Primer paint?

I'll be using SPI epoxy primer pretty soon on an OT project. It was recommended to me by a high end painter who uses a lot of PPG products.
It's priced well too.

Re: Anybody want a new friction tip for their vacuum brake?

I checked the friction disc on the extra distributor I have for my '37 engine, and it is indeed 5/8" diameter. I'm in for a couple.

Re: V12 Engine Problems

Is it stock intake? We had a situation with an aftermarket intake where it didn't have heat risers in the intake, but it also didn't block them off at the block. We didn't notice that till we had...

Stock intake? I came across a situation recently where an aftermarket intake didn't have an exhaust crossover, but also nothing to block it off, so if you didn't block the ports in the block, it...

I've got a 1940 Mercury frame for sale.
It's in great shape. The only issues are some damage to the center of the rear crossmember, and a little rust in the passenger frame rail where the rear of...

Re: Momentary Toggle Switch

You could also look at McMasterCarr. you won't be able to handle it before buying, but they have a lot of info on the switches, along with drawings showing dimensions.

Re: How to remove pilot bearing? '47 59A engine

I had the same issue on an off topic engine. Puller wouldn't fit, but did the grease trick. Next time I had to do it, I did bread because it sounded so weird, I had to try it. Sure enough, worked...

Re: 37 spark plug wire loom

Interesting. I wonder what happened to the stock ones. The rest of the motor was stock, although it did look like it had been rebuilt before. Sorry I couldn't help ya out.

Re: Valve retaining clip

Marko39's suggestion seems like the way to go. Maybe try some penetrating oil for a few days, and/or some gentle heat before trying it.

Re: 35-36 couple roof incert to fill roof.

Yes, the company you are looking for is Walden Speed shop. They do great work.
I don't think they advertise it on their site currently, but call them up, they'll make you one.

Re: Sometimes...

Geez. I'm a hot rodder/customizer at heart, and by profession. But, the more modified cars I see, the more I appreciate a stock car. Some peoples only taste is in their mouth.

Re: 37 spark plug wire loom
