Mercury and Ford used the same decals on the air filter, oil filter etc. There is nothing on them saying Ford or Mercury.
You can find them at all the early Ford parts suppliers.

I just had a look at the dome light on my M68 and yes there is a wire ring in there. It is tough to see and even tougher to get out. Take it real easy as that lense wil be very brittle.

I think you will find placing a steering damper on your tie rod is a pretty popular fix for this situation. The VW damper is also popular and if your parts house can’t supply you might try Amazon.

Would someone have a picture of the wire clip that holds the square shaft into the back of the keyed door lock cylinder. This shaft runs from the lock cylinder into the door latch assembly. Mine came...

For the tall canister used on truck engines the Wix 51503 is a direct replacement. It also comes with the correct gasket.

I have the tall oil filter canister on my 1950 Mercury M68. After a lot of searching and a good parts man found the WIX 51503 filter fits perfectly and comes with the correct gasket.

I have the same filter on my 50 Merc M68 and it takes a "Wix 51503 ". It also comes with the correct gasket.
