The owners manual will say 5 quarts.Ford says 5 quarts 32 to 48.

First 55 mph is too much for early Fords in hot weather.Replace the gas line tank to flex line.I had a flex line that acted like a check valve.Try a can of starter fluid next time it stalls in hot...

39 to 40 9n used a 4 spoke ton and a half truck wheel.Steiner tractor 800 234 3280.The 9n used over 200 car and truck parts.

The Model A only overheated when we used it to power a cord wood saw.Lack of foward motion may have done it but a thermostat stopped the overheating.The Ford never overheated when worked in hot...

Oversized drain plugs used to be available.Stripped oil pans were a common problem.

You still need a cutout with Toms regulator.Diode cut outs make the generator produce a higher voltage to overcome the diodes resistance.Old Ford generators tend to throw solder at 8 volts,your...

Try Rock Auto for shoes and small parts.The 53 ford had good brakes,I would stay with stock.Many other cars used Bendix brakes, try GM dealers.

No such thing as an internally resisted coil.No room inside a coil for a 60 watt 4 inch long resistor.The resistors heat would boil the oil and burst the case.

I have welded for over 50 years and would never weld on steering parts.Steering parts are forgings.They are heat treated.I would magnaflux steering parts and rear axle replacments.Many broken axles...

I have used the Grose jet and find that it sticks shut and leaks by worse than the old needle and seat.Another trouble maker is the Viton soft tip needle,it sticks shut often.

I take these problems to a shop that has the proper bending tool.They have made exhaust parts for my tractor for a fraction of new cost.They sell all auto parts so I buy most things from them.

Tom I used some white plastic tubing on an Indian motorcycle that had trouble in hot weather usually a stop lights.That was the cure.Years of troubleshooting in mechanics and electronics have taught...
