Re: 1935 21 Stud engine
If you could find a rebuildable engine I would think you could get it rebuilt by someone on the island. How about the guys that rebuilt the La Palma in Santa Cruz. I think they had babbitt pouring...

Re: Saw this on Facebook and just had to share it
I built a boat years ago. I didn't know much about boat building so I bought a book by Howard Schapell. He said right from the start that every shop should have a "moaning chair". I don't see one in...

Re: Violent shake.
"mechanical sound" does not sound good. I would inspect the u joints for play. Slack in the driveline can cause clutch chatter. I had a similar issue that was solved by replacing the u joints.

Re: Does anyone make 32-34 brake drums?
You do not want to put "A" brakes on a 34. The emergency brake, among other things, is completely different and if you want to remain "Henry" correct you would be going backwards. J and G brakes in...

Re: Remember Pearl Harbor
When I was of draft age, i got my notice. I hated the draft. However, I was quick to notice during basic training the positive transformation among our group. Fat guys slimmed down, skinny guys...

Re: Door panel backing material?
Rex Pegg in Tacoma stocks "panel board" for automotive upholstery. I think these guys are wholesale only but I'm sure they would steer you to a shop that handles their materials.

Re: 34 3-Window Seat Adjuster Rods?
The photos you posted (not the red cloth) are correct. At least that is what I have on my 5 window. I don't have access to my car at this time otherwise I would send you a photo but the rods are not...

Re: Good Morning Nice Car conversation
I had a 58 Impala with a 348 and a Turboglide. The sucker calved on Rt128 in Peabody Massachusetts and dumped all its fluid in the middle of the highway. Then it was a slow "glide" to the side of the...

Re: What Have We Here?
I think I saw in previous posts that those cracks are so typical that they actually have a Ford part number.

Re: Brake troubles
What Coopman says is true. I had the same issues with Speedway drums. Not only were they not machined concentric, they also ran out, meaning they wobbled side to side while turning. I returned them,...

Re: New member, first Ford project
Ok, I'm going to jump into the fray on this taper thing. It's interesting to note that Morse taper drills have a parallel sided tang at the end of the shank. Some would argue that its purpose is for...

I don't know what kind of talent you have but it might be worth checking out Norm Peterson's perfectwoodgrain.com. I don't know about this but I bought the course and I thought I would give it a go....

Re: Incorrect 1934 BB Truck bellhousing?
I think you're right. The front mounts have been modified and as such, the front of the engine may be raised which would account for the limited clearance at the firewall. The stock mount may...
