Re: Could Use Some Help With License Plate Restoration

TJ supplied the person I was talking about. You can find others, but Duane knows his stuff and like I said, if you have a year plate with not paint on it, he has the manuals to find the correct...

Re: Could Use Some Help With License Plate Restoration

If you are a Early Ford V-8 Club member, check the last issue of the V-8 TIMES. A very nice gentleman in Michigan does them for about the same price as you stated you paid for the first pair of...

Re: Trunk Latch Problem

Not a 1950 expert, but you may have to remove the rear seat (bottom lifts up from the front-- rear is held in place by two bolts) and slide through into the trunk. Almost sounds like the latch...

Re: Looking for 35/36 truck gurus

The hood is 1936 --
The inner fender spash pans are 1936
The grille looks like 1935 -- but without seeing the top, not completely sure. The 1936 depth of the grille is considerably wider than...

Looks like Ford parts from 1936 to 1938.
The first 2 pictures are the lower grille pan for a 1936 Ford commercial vehicle (pickup)
Photo 14 looks like a gauge set from 1936 (could be pickup)
Photo...

Re: 1950 Interior (Dash, Door) colors

Check your cowl.
There are stampings in the cowl and in your data plate.
If you can supply the numbers & letters, they can be decoded.

You should also purchase the 1949-50-51 Ford Book that the...

Re: Ford Motor Company WORLDWIDE Employee Badges, ID Cards, Passes & Permits

What you have there is what is called a tool tag (check). They were numbered (same number as the employees badge number) and were used to take out tools from the tool crib during your work shift.
I...

Re: New 1936 Pickup Pedal Plate

Are you sure that there is enough of an opening for the pedals to move in and out? I was not aware that there was such a part, since there are no holes for fasteners on my toe board.

Re: water pump ID please 49 - 53????

For those that restore or preserve their vehicles as assembled, yes.
It took me a couple of years to find good cores, and the Ford rebuild kits for 1949 for original pumps.

Re: water pump ID please 49 - 53????

The early 1949 Ford pumps will have a oil cup on the top. And Ford script on the casting. 1950 pumps did not have the oil cup, nor did the later years. 1949 pumps can only be rebuilt if you have...

Re: 36 pickup seat bottom

Yes there should be 4 (I believe) thin tin pieces (approx 1" by 2") bent over and with a hole to use a wood screw to attach the bottom spring to the plywood base. Two across the front and one on each...
