Update: The guy that built the motor installed the gear on the cam that runs the oil pump
backwards. Surprised I had oil pressure to start at all. Not good.

The engine builder won`t get to my motor till February. I`ll post what he finds in case this happens to anyone else.

Ya it sucks. It`s in a 29 roadster and I was about to send it to the upholstery shop. I have to take it out very carefully.

Thanks for all the advice. I have a feeling it`s the knock off pump you described as he bought a lot of parts from Speedway. Pulling the motor the next day or two and bringing it to a reputable shop...

I have another flathead motor and the lines are in the same location. The return line is actually in the block above the oil pan.

This is the pressure line to the filter with the sending unit.

The return line to the block/oil pan comes out the side,pressure in the bottom.

Ronnieroadster,Yes I do have the beehive oil filter. Pressure in on the bottom and out the side. Pressure line in from rear of block right?

Bored and stroked, I was surprized to find how dirty the oil was after not even five minutes of run time ,if that. The old builder had to miss something,to bad he passed away last year.

I did install a mechanical gauge,nothing. I pulled the cover for the oil pickup access and ran my finger along the bottom of the pan. very gritty,fine pieces of metal as they stick to a magnet....

I pulled the inspection cover off and the pickup seems fine and in place. Brand new motor.

I have a new rebuilt flathead 8BA that an old timer built for me who has since passed. I had oil pressure when I first ran it and now nothing. Was running it working on it and it made some weird...

I recently had to rebend one in my project. I heated it,bent it to where I wanted it and sent it in to have it rechromed.

I`ve converted a 53 Ford F100 with a 3 on the tree to a tremec five speed. It has a ford 9" rear end . What would be the best rear end ratio to run in this. The five speed gear ratio`s are 1st 2.95,...

It`s a brand/company. They make them to adapt just about anything. Look on Jegs or Summitt,Speedway also. It`s exactly the same depth as the original truck bellhousing on the 53 F100.

T5 clutch fork

I need help. I`m converting a 53 F100 flathead from the 3 speed to a T5. I have the Quick Time bellhousing and the long style 10" pressure plate. I`m having issues finding a clutch arm to fit right....
