Mine doesn't fold down, but I do drive with it folded out when it is hot.
25 MPH is about the fastest that is is comfortable.

I have a Trico wiper.
It is I believe a closed car model (I was told KCX-1) and is mounted on an open car.
During a heavy rain a few days ago, the arm and blade parted with the unit...couldn't find...
