Re: ‘36 coupe dovetail

I can move the bracket up the B pillar with a screwdriver but it needs to be welded into place and I’d have to cut into the pillar just to get the bracket out to clean the rust off and be able to get...

Re: ‘36 coupe dovetail

I figured it out, the plate that houses the female dovetail fell down to the bottom of the B pillar. I’ll either have to leave it as is or cut apart the B pillar to get the plate out to weld it...

‘36 coupe dovetail

Did all ‘36 five window coupes come with passenger side female dovetails?
Mine doesn’t have one and it’s missing the piece inside the B pillar that the dovetail goes into.

‘36 five Window door alignment

I have my body lines where they should be and gaps look pretty good but both doors are out at the bottom, what do I need to shim or do I need to work on the hinges?

1936 gauge post nuts

Does anyone know what SAE threads are on the posts that hold the gauges into the back of the dash?
There are 7 altogether and my dash didn’t come with the nuts.
Every nut I tried doesn’t fit.

Re: 6 blade generator mounted fan on a '32

Thanks guys for the info. A smaller 6 blade fan would probably be less weight on the generator bearings. I might have to adapt one.

6 blade generator mounted fan on a '32

I'd like to put a generator mounted 6 blade fan on my '32, I've heard one from a 8N or 9N tractor would work.

Is it a bolt on or would I have to get the right length snout?

Or is there a...

Re: Flathead Vacuum Question

Yes, we are pretty high up here in Denver and I do have dual carbs on the Edmunds intake.
The distributor gaskets are new, they should be ok.

Is there supposed to be a gasket on the vacuum brake...

I have an 81A eng with later crab style distributor, the SW vacuum gauge needle hardly moves and it never goes into the yellow upon deceleration.

I tried 2 different gauges and they both do the...

Flathead cam ID

I just bought a 59A flathead that was hot rodded a long time ago, I took the distributor off to see what cam is in it and all it has is a stamped letter T.

Is this stock? If not, what...

1917 to 1922 RH panel

Looking for the front half of a touring car body panel from the middle forward. I know I can buy this from Howell's but I'm looking for a good original.

Re: What year?

Ok 17 - 22. Thanks!
Is Howell's the only place that sells repop sheet metal for T's that old?

What year?

I just bought this T touring half with an abbreviated pickup bed.

I think it's like a 1919 to 1922 but I'm not 100% positive.

I need some sheet metal replacement parts and need to know what...

'37 one ton truck

I'm not a truck guy so I have to ask.

Do the 1/2 ton and one ton trucks have the same cab and front sheet metal?

Re: Flathead hard start when hot

I forgot to mention that it does have phenolic spacers between the carbs.

This happened last week, it was a 45 degree day and the eng sat for a couple hours after being driven so it wasn't that...

Re: Flathead hard start when hot

It's a 12v system and the condenser is a fairly new 12v and mounted on the dist in the...

Flathead hard start when hot

It's a rebuilt 81a but I adapted a 59a crab style...

Re: driveshaft bearing and seal

The right way to do this is with a KR Wilson tool made for pulling the sleeve out. I know a restorer who did mine, it literally pulled the sleeve out and only took a few minutes.
