Re: Coker radial wide whites

I had a similar problem with 15" Coker wide ww radials. Three were great and needed about 1 to 1.5 oz. to balance but one was way out of balance requiring 5.5 oz. I checked radial and lateral...

Re: Engine knocking

Here was the source of a strange sound in my 49 F1. The breather tube was loose and clanging around.

Re: '47 Brake Adjustment not as should be

Try adjusting tight until wheel won't turn, then back off a few clicks and step on the pedal a couple times to center the shoes in the drum. Repeat until wheel turns with slight drag. Some sound is...

Re: Mystery Noise Located

No, it is at the front end of the engine going from the block to the intake manifold. It was installed the last time I took the manifold off to adjust the valves but laying in the valley when I...

Re: Mystery Noise Located

Thanks, Walt. I think I must have the 8 BA as it does stick up thru the gasket. Great information and I really appreciate it. Just washed it and getting ready to have a quiet cruise around the area!

Re: Mystery Noise Located

I guess that's possible. The previous owner had it rebuilt so I really don't know. One end seems to be swedged down slightly and the other slightly larger. Tube was 1 5/16" dia by my measurement. I...

Re: strange noise in my flathead V-8

I really can't tell. I can only hear it from the cab while driving. It actually sounds more like spark knock or valve pinging when I accelerate at slow to moderate speed, but that was the first...
