Re: USB Charging Port Question

An interesting site for 6v LED light bulbs recommended to replace
Model A bulbs specifically by cross reference. https://www.ledlight.com/

No need for converters and addons. If you want music,...

Re: USB Charging Port Question

Connect a cigarette lighter socket (female) direct to the battery as negative ground like a modern would be. This creates a separate circuit that is negative ground. The side of the socket (female)...

Re: First Donk...

We're getting fooled and thrown off by the looks. Yes, it looks funny (different) but it does get attention which is probably the desired result.

A large circumference equals smoother ride....

Re: Are brake floaters worth it?

My car came with cast iron drums and all original parts were replaced. I added the longer rear levers to the front with the use of bushings of the correct inside and outside diameters from a chain...

Re: New gas valve replacement...

Ball valve. Added a star washer to mount the original valve handle on the stem of the ball valve so it doesn't slip. The original handle is not a perfect fit on the stem of the ball valve. A lock...

Re: Holly 94

I can't remember his name, but there is a man on here who specializes in Holly 94 carbs among other things. He can match a replacement power valve to your car including any modifications you may have...

Re: 1931 AA oil filter

Your filter has two drains and no feed. You have one drain to the valve chamber and one drain to the timing gear. You have no pressure flow through the filter. What you mentioned as a flow adjustment...

Re: I was thinking of changing to 12 volt negative ground.

GPS and cell phone chargers run on 5 volts no mater what battery voltage you have.
That gadget you plug into the cigarette lighter only allows 5 volts through and you must use that gadget. You must...

Re: Crankshaft Pulley Bolt (P/N 5-Z1900)

I bought a 1/2 inch drive 1 3/8 inch socket. Used an extension and rachet to get to it from the crank hole in the grill. Much easier than a wrench. Because it sticks out between the grill and bumper...

Re: Heat; Where's it coming from?

I suspect ED in Maine above has the right idea. I read on this board a few years ago that the most efficient amount of stand off would be one inch of air flow between a heat shield and the item to be...

I have read on this board that brake caliper paint was a good choice. I haven't tried it though.

Re: gas (fuel) canister, period correct

Never saw that before. 12x18.6x18.6 will fit on running board. A little pricey but it was built for gas and made of stainless.

Re: Bypass oil filter

I did something like #3 above and it was good. Flathead Ford v8 always had a bypass filter and it trapped a lot of sludge. I drilled and tapped the valve cover and took the oil from the side of the...

Re: Gas Gauge float

Put the float in place on the wire as you did. Put the washer in place as you have done. Then find a way to position the end of the wire tip on a steel surface so you can use a screwdriver and hammer...

Re: Front Brake Operating Pin Issue

the static position of the Brake Levers should be 15 degrees at rest when adjusted properly because that is the point of maximum force at the levers. Routine brake adjustments should be done by...

Re: Help! Turn signal electrical issue has me stumped!

I have learned a lot from reading this string. I did change the coil wire to carbon core for better performance and less RF interference. You can get all of what you need to install signals at one...

Re: Transmision oil

I'll go with Terry. Lucas Hub Oil is 250 W (hard to find that info). I'm in Florida so it should work well in this climate. On line ten to twenty dollars per qt if you look.
