I forgot to mention, the .040 are 4 ring and 56 Grams heavier than the .125 which are 3 rings

We do thousands of K,s in our 33, towing all over Australia,
we use 91,no additives and no worries, remember the engine has hardened valve seats and modern valves .

Away for a few days in the 33,VERY dry here for the last 6 months or so!
Well what happened ,it hosed down and we nearly got flooded in,
The 33 started as easy as after the downpour.

Measure the crank pin diameter,(using a Mic)
Measure the bore of the rod,

Rob, I tried castrol stuff GL 4 made for lite duty manuals ,80/90,BUT it was way thinner than the usual 85/140 that I use in the rear axle,so I.m back using the 85/140 that I have used for years....

I cut the flange off a double pulley when fitting a 99A engine into our 33,BUT , i used a scatt 4in crank and had to shorten the snout of it ,even then there was no room for the hand starting sprag...

I,m going to use some edelbrock 1125 heads on my 99a engine that had the cracked cast iron heads, I could not find another set of cast iron heads with the 75 cc chamber.
So hope these 1125 heads...

Ron, on my 33 with the 99a engine and 4 inch crank , I noticed a drop in fuel economy over a period, turned out to be from changing the heads from 75 cc chambers to 82 cc ones.
I will try and weld...

There are static jigs around for setting the dwell, there are two on ebay now,exspensive though.
