Holley 94 rebuild questions
Rebuilding two carbs, one for grandpa's 35, the other or my 36 pickup.
The 35 has a 59ab, after pulling from long time storage, replace most of the 39 brakes and ignition. Had an issue with "vapor...

Re: Working on grandpa's car.
This was my diagnosis well. Can't rule out some other things just yet. New to these old cars but by tearing down the flathead for my truck I have seen some parts and I thought it might be this. I...

Re: Working on grandpa's car.
I figured they were out there, 6v pumps. I just threw that in there to show it's been tinkered with.
I don't know how to check if the car wants 12v or 6v. I don't want to damage a guage or...

Working on grandpa's car.
The car in question is a 35 roadster. Engine is a 59ab. It's been sitting out of service for at least 15 years.
Battery is a year old. Never used yet. But stored in climate controlled garage...

Re: lets see your winter front grill.
Not for my truck, not even for an early v8. Looks a little small for a 28/9 model a. But it's pretty cool. If the mechanism was modified for a cable operation it'd be really cool

Re: Harbor freight vs eastwood mig
The desired end result of your project, coupled with your abilities is what you should be weighing. If money is tight, functional results can be had with harbor freight junk. If abilities are...

Re: Welding Cars
I'm using my cheapo "mig" from harbor freight with fluxcore for tacks on the truck or when convenient. And my grandpa's Miller 320a/bp. For all the welding I do now. Thing is as big as a fridge and...

Re: 35/6 pu Frankenstein thingy
Friday stuff.
A small update just to keep up with the project, it is slow going, but not abandoned.
Been messing around with some hood tops. They were in bad shape. I'm no experienced panel...

Re: 35/6 pu Frankenstein thingy
Patching up and modifying 37 inner fenders for the 36. Also a pic of my first molasses rust removal, on some old wheels, this is after a five day soak, it went back in but I became a believer in that...

Re: 35/6 pu Frankenstein thingy
A small update. Right hood side. The pic in primer is today, the other is after making a bottom cowl corner patch, welding up a number of cracks including 5 or six severed louvers and quite a bit of...
