Re: Anyone with experiences working with Gocat speed shop?

Wow. Sucks even more that he's flaunting it on Social Media.

You know sure as hell he's seen this thread. ...

Re: pre-bent brake line kit - 39/40 Ford quality

Interesting. The armor springs go on the bends near the wheels, correct?

My list of things I need from you keeps getting longer with each post you make. Haha.

Re: Oil dipstick boss

Fred from Southside Obsolete sells NOS ones for $20.00.

Don't pay more for off shore junk when you can get the real deal for less.

Re: Intake bolts THICK

Haha, great. Love the phone thing too.

Any chance you'll also be making those '32 L bolts and with the correct special, smaller OD castle nuts?

Re: Which Cam

Hey Jack,

To confirm, you has 127,000 or 12,700 miles?

If it's 127,000, that's impressive.

Re: Anyone with experiences working with Gocat speed shop?

Your post inspired me. Maybe we should have sticky thread of positive experience with vendors. One that stays up and allows guys to add those vendors they've had good experiences with.

Re: Which Cam

You can certainly check space above the pistons (squish) before the cam. Unless you change the pistons, that should be consistent.

Re: Colorado Flathead Rebuilder

Sorry to hear that. That's why I said do your homework.

Fellas, if a guy has your motor and parts, no need to give them any money until you have your motor.

If a shop asks for money up...

Re: Problem with front axle made of a mixture of parts.

Came to say the same. I'll post picts. of what NOS ones look like. Get your wallet out. New ones are $150 a piece. I believe they are for a '37 Willys. Which ever the model year it was before...

Re: Barrett Jackson

I'm going to bail out of this conversation. DD, we will have to agree to disagree.

To each his own I guess. I still say a lot of assumptions are being made. Could be a typo or it could be bad...

Re: Barrett Jackson

Correct. VIN is key, not sheet metal. Think of how many Model A's have '32 grilles.

Re: Barrett Jackson

Maybe but I'd roll the dice. Many different ways to skin a cat in order to clean up the paperwork.

I just went through this and my paperwork is now a totally legit. Correct VIN and all.

Re: Barrett Jackson

There are a lot of assumptions being made that the car is a fraud. Not one of us was there, looking at the documentation, etc.

We are making a boat load of assumptions. It could be a simple...

Re: Barrett Jackson

If this came up for sale around me for $20K, it would be in my garage. Paperwork can be sorted out on an old car.

Think about how many model A's are running around that don't have anywhere...

Re: Barrett Jackson

Not sure those are selling either. The circle I run with all want authentic hot rods. Flatheads, 3 speeds, etc.

The SBC cars may sell, but are getting very hard to move.

Re: Barrett Jackson

I saw that, but I think it's a typo. Its listed in the auction as a 1935 Ford.
