Looking at the 46-48 59AB wiring diagram it shows a different distributor but the crab is referenced when looking at replacements. Do they not make a original style or are guys just using the crab...

Pipe threads are tapered which makes it mush harder if not impossible to loosen under foot. You would never want the pedal to come loose while driving or shifting.

These adaptors from Speedway work very well for balancing wide five wheels.
Had no issue getting mine balanced on the 36 with one I purchased just for that.

I tried repairing one with JB-Weld and it failed once I tightened, I think with a gasket it allowed it to flex just enough to fail.

I didn't want fake door signs painted on my 32 pu, but I made sideboards, had a local sign painter letter them and then fake patina'd them to match the truck. It's not for everyone, but I like it.

Google deburring shops - They deburr castings and such with these type media machines. More common than most people realize. We used to use one at work and yes they really do a nice job.
