16" Wheels

I am thinking about putting 16" wheels and tires on one of my Model A's. Does anyone regret going with the 16" wheels instead of 19" or 21"? Any drawbacks?

I know the gear ends are different, but are the speedometer cable ends the same for Oval and Round speedometers?

Tested again. Hot with all plugs out and throttle wide open.
2 times today. Got same numbers.
Cyl.1 118# Cyl.2 110# Cyl.3 108# Cyl.4 120#
I think I am OK.
I bought the compression gauge from JC...

One of my cars has 1 sidemount, the other has 2. I despise them and wish I had NONE! What a PITA!

Normally have a bevel on both ends and are arced or fitted to the drums.

I am now confused. So, on a positive ground system, would you install the disconnect switch on the + battery terminal cable or the - battery terminal cable.

I went ahead and installed a momentary switch to ground on the #1 terminal. Now one touch and it is charging. Makes me feel better anyway.

A while back I replaced some 35 year old tires (rock hard) with new ones. It drives so much better I will never let these age like that.

No other mods to my engine. I guess I must have gotten a good one, since I did check the head with a straightedge and feeler gauge and it measures very flat.

A few weeks ago I installed a 6:1 head and checked the valve lash. Runs great, what a difference! Checked the compression yesterday 102# 92# 92# 102# Is that about right for a .100" overbore...

Their 16" tires are Nylon so I would guess that the construction would be similar, but the sidewalls are not marked.
