Re: Running Hot When Not Moving

I had a similar problem in a '47 Ford. I removed the radiator and had it thoroughly cleaned. There were many tubes in the radiator that were blocked or partially blocked not allowing coolant to flow...

AOD transmission in a '67 mustang

What kind of fitment issues, if any, are there installing an AOD into a 1967 Mustang? This would replace a C4 automatic.

Re: 1937 Lincoln

Agree. It's not a big deal in this case. RM probably appreciates the free publicity. My last words.

Hey fellas, Michael Driskell and I are here working on these early Fords. Don't lose all hope.

Re: V-8 Times

Third class mail delivery doesn't make corporate news media money and it doesn't get politicians elected. It'll never get fixed.

Re: How To Remove Cosmoline

I bought a nos crank shaft covered in cosmoline. I had my machine shop bake it to remove the cosmoline.

Re: where is this all going

Frank,

I agree. It's going to be hard for some regional groups, local car clubs and the national EFV8 Club. Not having a EFV8 meet for two years is serious disappointment. I do understand why...

Re: Question for 39 pickup experts

Re: transmission question

Why not rebuild the transmission with the 29/15 gear combo and go with a 3:54 rear end ratio. I have that in heavier sedans and I can cruise all day at 65 mph with ease. Plus it's a heck of a lot...

Re: Pre war vs post war engine bearings

He was checking the babbit in an old engine? Who cares what the babbit was like, you'll have to pour new bearings on any kind of an engine rebuild.
