Any 2”to 2 1/2” open pipe or tube . I use chain link fence posts for duals . Its not loud . It just rumbles on down shifting.

Spinning the 6 volt starter with 12 volt will spin it faster and the low compression flatheads sound almost without compression.

Is it 2 cyl on one side and 2 on the other ? Important
Compression?
What coil mods ? If too much spark , it can arc inside the cap .
Aluminum intake or cast iron ?
Do your windshield wipers...

You could cut the the gasket you have . If thats your problem , just cut it to match your intake and get to use the extra vent .

Bent backing plate or maybe shoes out of spec . Lining not centered and too much on the onside leaving exposed metal ? Just guessing.
