I was thinking that the pin that the handle pivots on was a pin that had a tapered head on one side and hollow on the other end and once the handle was put in the hood ornament the pin was installed...

Just solder the tiny oil hole shut in the bushing and reinstall it. You don’t have to put a rod in it , it won’t affect oil pressure.

Iíll try a ty rap ,havenít thought of that . My feeler gauge blade is a little wider than the H beam rod so I might have more clearance than I think .

Oil Pump Pickup

Take a look at the new oil pump pickup on the left compared to original on the right. The pickup tube is shorter on the new one , Iím somewhat reluctant to use it ..Thoughts ??

I had the reflectors coated by Uvira for my 39 Zephyr and using stock 6 volt bulbs. They are bright as any 12 volt system.

Warm it up with a propane torch while trying to turn it. I’ve had pretty good luck freeing up some using heat.
