Re: 1962 Galaxy 406 questions

The '60s were pretty wide open--you could get all kind of oddball combinations--some pretty cool, some just oddball. Growing up in a G.M. manufacturing town, I got to see a lot of them. Like the 7 or...

Re: A sickening find at metal salvage, '63 Lincoln

28RPU, it's a symptom of the dumbing down of society and indifference to doing things the right way and the attitude of " Mediocrity is the new Good! " Money is King anymore and Laziness is the Clown...

Re: A sickening find at metal salvage, '63 Lincoln

Yes, we are a dying breed, but I suspect there are more of us than we think. Not just old iron nuts, but people who don't want to see an arguably better past replaced by, at best, a dismal future....

Re: 1962 Galaxy 406 questions

Doesn't seem to make much sense that it was ordered with a 3-spd if it was for racing, especially if the 4-spd was standard with the 406 3 duece option. Is there linkage still on the steering column?...

Re: 1996 Ranger

Yeah, I hope to see ya' there. I'm not sure yet which meet I'll be going to or whether I'm drivin' or ridin' with someone else. But I'll keep an eye peeled for ya'.

Re: 1996 Ranger

Thanks guys, I appreciate the input. This thing is injected and I've heard it's not a good idea to squirt water into 'em, but I have thought about squirting the Seafoam directly into it. It says on...

Re: 66 or 65?

Nice find, looks to be in pretty nice shape, that even looks like the original windshield washer bag. Might be a good candidate for a stock resto. My Dad had a couple of those back in the '60s. Good...

1996 Ranger

I dont know if this is the right place to ask this, and my apologies if it's not. If it was built after the mid '80s and doesn't have a carburator I'm pretty much lost in the dark.

Here's the...

Re: Please post pictures of 1933-1934's here

All you guys and gals with '33s and '34s are very lucky people in my estimation. A '34 3-window has been my dream for at least twenty years but I had to switch to motorcycles ten years ago because I...

Re: 53 Ford p/s

Where can I find more of these old military videos? That is a great historical resource there.

Re: 36 "smokey" car

Indeed a great picture. But my sight's not good enough, or the pic is just too grainy, for me to determine which cars are which, plus I'm not an early Chevy guy. BTW, what's the car in the driveway...

Re: SBF 221 cu. in.

Hey willowbilly, you might wanna' think about the ' Rally ' package offered for the 260 in '64, it ended up puttin' out 260 horses. Kinda' the 260 version of the Hi-Po 289 that put out 271 HP.

Re: SBF 221 cu. in.

The 221 was not a poor engine, but a poor performer because it was intended as an economy motor. After all it is a Windsor. A friend in high school had the 221 in a Fairlane and, tho' not fast, it...

Re: Interesting car at Auburn

Iterestingly, Jensen was reformed in 2010 to buy back old models and refurbish them for reale as new. Not the Jensen-Fords however. According to Wiki, Gable actually commissioned Jensen to build him...

Re: Just returned from ford archives

I'm new here, what's " The Book " project you're talkin' about? When you say Auburn do ya' mean Michigan or the old Auburn plant in Indiana?

Thanks.... W.E.
