I have the Burtz engine installed and the B engine is available. I can deliver to Asheville if need be. Will also have it at the Rhinebeck meet in May....

If you must get a long one, McMaster Carr has them. This one is pn 1095K14 and has a shank length of 2.18" and costs $3.93. Others of different lengths are available.

Yes, I re-torqued the head, but only once. I torque the head to 55 ft lbs the first time, then after about a week's worth of driving, I torque to 55 ft lbs again. I usually don't do it a third time....

The metal stem tube should come with the necessary hardware to mount them, but they don't. You must order the bridge washer and the lock nut separately. I think the hardware package has a drawing...

That second gear box is a Ford Dual-Hi that was married with the three speed transmission from a Ford car. Standard issue for 28's and early 29's. The Dual High gave you an under-drive.

Your problem might be the socket itself. If the bulb is loose, you may try a piece of shim stock between the bulb base and the socket to improve the ground connection.

I looks like the one on the left with the soldered can has already had the output opened for more flow. According to the Burtz guide, this one is not a good candidate for increased oil flow/pressure....
