Re: What cool accessories/add-ons are out there

Is that Bling? Ha Ha. I was referring more to items like trinkets.

However, the Auto Dash Beer Bar does look interesting. Tough to keep cold though.

Re: What cool accessories/add-ons are out there

I resist putting bling on my car. That's just my personal choice. Simple is better.

My neighbor is a recent retired postmaster. He has told me USPS package shipping is really screwing up the lately. It's too bad, I like the flat rate Priority boxes.

They lost a $600.00 intake...

Maybe your vacuum can is hanging up. Are the leather seals in good shape? Have you lubricated them?

Re: Columbia vs Mitchell overdrive

I can't comment on the Mitchell. The Columbia I just installed works fantastic. I mounted the 37 valve body to the K-member on the passenger side and activate the main valve off the clutch cross...

Re: Running Hot When Not Moving

Yes they make 6 volt fans. I have no experience with mounting one on a 36. When I had one on my 32 it was controlled by a bi-metal thermostat glued to the upper tank on the rad. You could also just...

Re: Cross part number for 32 Inter axle seal

Hi mart,
I was trying to distinguish the inter axle seal from the hub seal, that's why I referenced the differential. I was hoping to pick them up locally so not to hold up my rebuild.

Cross part number for 32 Inter axle seal

I did a search without much success. This is the oil seal closet to the differential for a late 32 banjo.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Transport Company

Seems like the people on the Barn recommend Trulyvintage.

Just a heads up. If you post your request on the internet you will be bombed by brokers. When I shipped my car I used Intercity. They...

Re: Columbia rear ratios

So I have been looking for 3:78 gears. What years would fit my late 32 banjo. It's the wider center section and the scalloped torque tube connection. I'm not seeing anything at Mac's, C&G, Early Ford...

Re: Columbia rear ratios

I think you are correct, 3:78 would be a better choice.

Re: Columbia rear ratios

Thanks guys. I leaning on leaving the 3:54 in and see how it goes. The Columbia can only improve things even with the 3:54's. I should have it on the road again in a couple of weeks and let you know.

Re: Columbia rear ratios

It's mostly hilly to flat around here. I prefer staying off the major highways. Motor is a stock 8ba 239 with a blower. I had the car for 7years so I know how it takes the hills with the stock 3:54...

Columbia rear ratios

What do you guys think. I'm installing a Columbia two speed. I have 3.54gears, 39 transmission, 7.00 x 16 tires. Is this to tall with the columbia? Running just the stock banjo it always seemed like...

Re: Hate when this happens

What Tubman said. Since you are running strictly stock motor, there's no reason to spend the money change what you have. By chance is the coil wired backwards?

Re: Flathead Running rich

I had this problem with the small air cleaners. You need to change the plugs also. Removing the air cleaners without clean plugs may not improve anything.

Re: Electric fan over a belted fan

Electric fans will do the job if you don't have a way to install a mechanical one. All depends if you want a nostalgia look or not. I was able to squeeze a mechanical fan in on my 32 with an blown...
