I also Highly recommend J.R. I bought one of his rebuilds and he does a very professional job on his rebuilds. He installs and road test every rebuilt carburetor. When he is done you just install it...

I have the same problem, Changed out the front spring and bingo!
Now just the slightest lean after getting out. Back spring will be changed out next.

That sounds like a good Price to me JW.
Your right his ebay add just mentions new gaskets, nothing about the bearings. Contact me with private message and we can work out the details.

True parts are not cheap. Snyders wants almost $1,100 with core for a rebuilt tranny. My core is cracked so I'm sure they would not except it. Plus thats big money, I should be able to do it much...

My transmission housing is cracked from the back around and down the passenger side and across the fill spout.
What is a good price for a good housing?

I did check that this morning, it's one thing I did think of. Because it is a new cap I thought maybe it was hitting one of the contacts. Gap was good.:D

My tapping noise was coming from the distributor hitting the Gasket. I did not expect that because the first time i did make sure to ream out the hole for the shaft. That's the part that puzzles me....

I do believe putting my old head back on is the way to go for now Ernie. The tapping started again today just as bad. Other then that it sounds great.
It is starting to look more like a wrist pin on...
