Since it affects just the one unit, most likely Ground.
"Turn" filament has none, but when the taillight is on, current feeds back to the "turn" filament.

Thirsty Lady has a QDS too. For two reasons: Anti Drain over long periods of nothing and Anti Theft. That the choke is replaced doesn't mean that there are not other parasitical...
