Re: Horn relay wiring

The center terminal should be the "B" (Battery) terminal. The smaller one next to it, "S", is the horn wire to the steering column. The two with the clips are the horn wires, "H".

Re: Bren carrier engines

The biggest issue with posting photos is often the file size. The size needs to be reduced to the 500kb range to post.

Re: Middle of winter

Here is a cheery one! When I first got my 68 Tornio. That photo just happened to be on my desk top.

Re: Horn relay wiring

Does it look anything like this one? The terminals should be marked H - B - S.

Re: Mart's Crusty Flatty Part7. Bring on the Stunt Block.

Never heard of it not working. If you have some really tight ones they might be good test subjects!

Re: 33-34 Floor Pans

Here is a photo of one of Tom's floor pans. This is a non-stock application and the seat track braces are laying on top of the floor to mark locations. Added a couple of photos of the sub-rails,...

Re: Horn relay wiring

Not if you are using a relay.

"I bought a NORS horn relay for my 1939 Ford Pickup. There are four posts on the back. Two have what I would call a slip type connection. The other two have a bar...

Re: gasoline

Very easy to find here in Kansas. This is an older photo, so the prices are way out of date. :)

Re: Ford F150 transmission for my 34' Tudor

Don't take suggestions/inputs as personnel attacks. There is a lot of experience here on the Barn and some of us enjoy sharing knowledge. You can build your car anyway you want, but you might want to...

Re: gasoline

Must be a state tax thing. Fairly sure your gas comes from the same refineries Kansas uses. At that price can't see how there would be a market for it.

Re: Ford F150 transmission for my 34' Tudor

It's all about what you will be happy with. These modifications are a lot of work to not get it right the first time. If you go into it understanding where you will most likely end up and it meets...

Big current difference there, so might be a factor.

Re: Ford F150 transmission for my 34' Tudor

Totally disagree, they are great period. :) I'm not a truck gear fan on the street, but if you like them, use them. There are a lot of folks running the wide ratio S-10 boxes. Just wanted to be...

Re: Mallory Unilite Distributor HELP requested.

So what are the resistance values on your current coil and ballast resistor?

Re: Ford F150 transmission for my 34' Tudor

Ist gear would be nearly worthless and 2nd gear would be a little steep to start off in. Not gearing I would want. The t-5z 1st gear is 2.95 and has closer gears. I think the normal 5.0 mustang T-5...

Re: gasoline

I checked yesterday, the price of 91 octane 10% ethanol and non-ethanol gas is the same price. So if you can get the non-ethanol don't think attempting to modify 10% ethanol would be worth the effort.

Re: Wiring new horns

Ford wired it up directly from the battery connection on the starter solenoid. I would stick with that setup. The 38 wiring diagram is a good example. I also posted a VanPelt image of a horn relay...

Re: Ford F150 transmission for my 34' Tudor

How about posting a photo of what you are thinking about. I did a search and what came up didn't look like an easy install nor have a usable shifter location.

Re: New Horns not working

If your not going 100% original, I would add the relay. Sounds like the horns are bad, hopefully the next one will work!

Re: New Horns not working

The original 35 horn wiring did not use a horn relay. Are you using a relay? There is a reason Ford added the horn relay on later models (38). Did you check the horns with a direct connection to...
