I took a wire brush and cleaned the numbers. I can't see any stamp over and they look original to me.

I have a 1930 coupe that I bought last spring at a nearby swap meet in SC. Such a well preserved car only patch panel is in the rear tire well area. After checking closely all 3 VIN numbers match....

The 41 Ford pickup frame is the same as a 40. They are the same for a car minus the outriggers.

Powder coating requires the metal to be absolutely clean. After I blast mine, I wrap them in a plastic trash bag and take them imediately to the powder man. I just finished blasting 19 inch wheels....

I have an Ingersoll Rand 185 Diesel powered compressor. I can blast one Model A wheel in 20 minutes. I use the Dustless water blaster and it really kicks ass. I was wondering about the price...

The cost of blasting is like everything else going thru the roof. I got a price of $60. per Model A wheel. Is that about normal?

Re: High Compression Head Replacement

The new heads have a better combustion and intake flow. The difference between stock and 6.1 is amazing. Also if you plan to install a Mitchel overdrive you need the higher compression head.

I installed a cartouche in my 1940 coupe. I removed a LB kit that was 20 years old. Side by side LB material has more thread count than Cartouche. So in my opinion LB is a better material than...

When possible I have my bumpers replated. Good shop in Elizabethton, Tn does mine. Cost more but his plating his far better than Taiwan.
