Original hydrostatic used a 6 screw on 2" circle.
Early Ford electric used a 6 on 2-3/4" circle.
Late (most street rod) uses a 5 on 2-3/4" circle.

I did relieve the inside of the clamp brackets (facing the glass) with a die grinder for a cavity for the rubber pad...

First, serial numbers and VIN numbers are not the same thing, though a serial number is most often the VIN. Each state can issue its own VIN.

The best way is to find a pair of 1940-41 Truck/1940-47 Cabover headlights. These were seal beams with the same bucket as the 1938-39.


Otherwise go with the kit you found, I am not sure these...

They have recently became unfriendly to many of their dealers and not very interested in pursuing the antique parts...
