dist. and oil pump drive gear A , and B anyy difference

Is the model A and B oil / dist drive gear the same ? How does the oil get into the valve chamber, on a B engine ?

If the dipper tray was lowered how was that achieved? was the B pan d.tray changed or was the oil pan indention's reposition , lowered for the d. tray ?

just put an engine together, started it up , has a hard knock when running. I have know idea why . rods are tight mains are tight . it is a b motor, correct pan on it ,new pistons and rods ,...

I have an axle that is worn where the seal rides inside the bell . My question is the axle harden , if so how do you fix the worn grooved area ? steve
