I’ll post a pic tomorrow when I get them installed.
I paid a pretty penny to get these wheels here and I was panicking after reading that they may not fit.

Re: Firestone tires Too Big?

I’m in love with the wheels and tires. I had them shipped across the country.
I can’t return them anyway. I was just checking to see if anyone knew whether they’d fit before I waste my time...

Firestone tires Too Big?

I just picked up a set of Wheels with 4.75-5.00 19" firestone tires
for my model a. It's a 1931 Slant window with rear mounted spare.
My question is will they fit my car?
They look big, about 3...

Re: Engine Misfire Knock

Finally got the new distributor in the car. What a difference in power now.

Re: Engine Misfire Knock

I removed the distributor and it has a one piece shaft.
If you move the shaft up and down, there is over an 1/8 of shaft endplay.
I believe this is the sound I'm hearing. click clacking away.
So...

Re: Engine Misfire Knock

The water pump is new-leakless type.
I replaced all fluids straight 30 weight
1/2 stp and 600 in trans and diff. Definitely loved that change.
I did set points and greased distributor. I did not...

Re: Engine Misfire Knock

Ok. I got out the old stethoscope. Probably should have done that first.
Definitely not coming from the bottom. I located the noise to the distributor. It seems to make sense given that there is a...

Thank you again. I appreciate all the help. I'll clean it up and replace if needed. She's shifting better now with the adjustment I made to this point.

Re: Clutch Adjustment Rod

Ok. I don't believe the lever on the trans is cracked. Seems ok.
Clutch pressure plate adjustment sounds about right. I didn't know that was possible. Can that be done with trans in car?
I attached...

I thought you had to double clutch going up and down gears?
So free play is measured from where the pedal lays at rest to were it starts to feel...
