Re: Engine pans

An adhesive rubber liner may act as a noise reducer, but it may also act as an electrical insulator... The engine pans are an integral part of the the grounding system, and need to be connected...

Re: Coupe versus Tudor survival rates

Wonder if it might be fundamentally related to the overall sizes of the two very different roof designs!?!?
Once the family Tudor starts springing leaks across the back roofline, then the rear...

Shackles wanted '31

I'm looking for a set of front and rear shackles for my S/W Cabriolet...
Prefer not to have to use repros, so I know they will be hard to find.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Re: Waffen-SS GAZ with heavy load held up by single jack

I swear I saw this guy's booth at Hershey last month...
He had a space in the Red Field...
Wonder if he sold both of those beauties...?

Talking Re: Must replace timing gear

Off topic a bit, but, BTW ( i.e. "By The Way"), Werner, I don't think your posts are ever bothering to us...
At least IMHO ("In My Humble Opinion").......
I look forward to seeing them: I've...

Re: Rust in pease

Any more to the story???
It's not some kind of over-the-top Halloween decoration is it???
Mighty intriguing...
What's going on?
Where are we?
Who did this?
Why?

Just curious.

Re: Trailering tips for protection

Certainly put it on backwards, however you wrap it up....

Now... Since the OP was about the safety of the finish, I guess it may seem a bit off topic, but I have an overall project safety...

Re: Model A prices...going which way?

What's an A worth? Great question!
Two key elements in all value statements turn on supply and liquidity.
The Hemmings- based chart is very informative...
So over 20 years the # of A's for sale in...

Re: starting my A tool collection

Agreed!!!

The RG/JS section on tools is not only fascinating reading, but for putting together a complete and accurate tool set the Guidelines would be essential...

If that's the way you plan...

Re: Towing my Model A

Back it on the trailer...
Towing it with the grill facing forward exposes a lot more glass (all the lamps and the windshield), as well as the fins on the radiator, to whatever debris gets kicked...

Re: Bat piss

All of the above!!!!!
But get 'em OUT any way you're comfortable with...
Turn on the lights!
Block up the holes!
Amp up the ultrasound!
Build em a bunch of roosting boxes.
But DON'T kill.em....
