Back in the 50'a we used to see aftermarket ground straps for cars. Were they just some old wire hung from a frame or a commercially made clamp/wire/spring, etc.?

Oil change process

being dormant with my cardio rehab program, I forgets stuff.
After draining out my oil, can I add a quart into the filler hole and will that washout the old oil in the dip tray?

I succeeded by cutting off another 1/2inch of the generic hose and using silicone spray. Thanks for your help

Tried to install the bottom hoses on a aftermarket 39 peekup by using WD-40 to soften the hose and then use a BFH sideways as a pusher to collapse the hose over the rad. end fitting. No go.

I had a 6 cylinder beater work Chebbiy pickup truck here back when. When I first got it I drained out the black sludge oil and ran 10 minute of kero. Sounded like Mother's Singer. Then fresh cheapo...

Thanks. In 6 months the big lumps should be at the bottom. When I gain strength I'll do it. Interestingly the restorer painted the big plug. I'll have to figure out how to release it without messing...

I have not run my restored 40MEREC since mid July. She waits for a oil change which I am fully remiss in doing. I'm in cardio rehab so my tin waits. The oil is dark
