Re: 1941 Ford pickup seat

I basically did this to my stock seat. I also added a little extra foam in the lower back for some lumbar support and that made a huge difference.

Pretty sure that typically the old brake switch wire is abandoned as all it does is light both rear brakes lights. The power for the brakes and flashers now goes through the new turn switch and...

Re: 1939 Pickup Front Fender Welting Question

Re: how to retain Ford '35 pu shifter

Re: 38-41 Pickup Body to Frame Bolts

I removed the springs on mine as they allowed the cab to move around too much and it would squeak and drive me nuts. Bolted her down tight and 20 years later nothing has broken.

Re: Generator rebuild parts

I believe that they are the same as the pass cars. Should be fairly easy to find. Don't know where you are located but C&G Ford shows them.

Re: '40 S-W odometer disassembly

My wheels assembly is the same as your photo. I have had it apart several times and I think its the tiny gear teeth on the pot metal digit wheels that is the root of the problem. This is especially...

Re: Back to the 50's back on ???

The event is cancelled for 2020. Non of the dash plaques, mugs etc have been ordered. This was to be the 47 annual BTT50's and it was voted that next year will be the 47th instead rather than the...

Its been a while since I did my T5 conversion in my '38 but I'm pretty sure that the stock speedo cable that was on the Ford "turtle" sending unit will fit right on the T5 mechanical sender. I just...

Re: should it be of "concern"?? What do the experts say

The rising and falling is probably the thermostat opening and closing. Like 51504bat said you cant really know what temps it is running at without checking it with a good gauge. Also check the...

Re: Flat head blocks ?

I frequent FLAP often as I live close to them. When I was building my pickup they had seven '38/'39 pickups in their yard. I think I collected parts off each one of them to use on mine. About a...

Re: Fenton's or Red's or ??

Reds on my '38 pickup. Bolted right up no problems with the stock steering and no problem later when I went to IFS with a steering rack. I got the coated and they look like new after 19 years.
