I use a cheapy HF battery maintainer on my Yamaha 3000 generator. Leave it hooked up with a pig tail connector at all times. No problems. FWIW.

I finally bit the bullet and put a Glide Engineering seat in mt '39 p/u. Not cheap but much more comfortable. IMO

The complete new one for the 8ba in my '39 p/u with a 4 inch core was north of a grand and I picked it up in person. It would have been a bit more if I wanted the top top tanks with the fan relief...

Their web site is a bit confusing about flathead starters not sure...

Changed the one on my '39 p/u without having to bleed the system afterwards. Unscrewed the defective one and screwed in the new one. Easy peasy.

I heated the ring gear on the barbie when I replaced the ring gear on my 8ba. Didn't want to upset mama. Also, put the flywheel in the freezer as well.

On Bubba's advice I run a Bosch Blue coil 00012 with internal resistance on the 8ba in my '39 p/u converted to 12 volts. It has a Bubba Chevy conversion distributor.

I'm running radials on my '39 p/u with wide 5's without tubes. The rear never loose air but the fronts loose a couple of pounds every 2 weeks or so. I don't know if its due to the flexing pressures...
