When taking the defective switch out I loosened the lock nut behind it and did not tighten it properly...

I am replacing a pressure switch on my 1939 Ford Deluxe as it apparently went bad after four months use! Should I use Pipe thread seal tape on it is my question? Thanks!

You Nailed it! I made a jumper between the two wires and Brake Lights came on! Thank you!!! I have a new in the box replacement switch from Bob Drake made in Taiwan. That's the good news!
