Mine leaks too but I don't drive it much either. What's the Air-cooled converter large O-ring seal? Do you have to pull the transmission to get to it?

Sorry to hijack the thread.
Sal, can the modification be easily reversed? I still have the original distributor with new dual diaphragms as well as the newer distributor that I've been running.

Sal, I still have my original teapot so I would have you rebuild it.I didn't see any improvement running with Autolite 4100 and B manifold on my 292. I'm also using the later distributor with it.

I have a 57 B manifold and 57 Autolite carb with PCV spacer on my 56 292. The PCV runs to a T-Bird valley pan. The carb was rebuilt by Sal late last year. I'm thinking about going back to the...

My 56 with a build date of 10/21/55, according to the patent plate, has the freeze plugs. It has the original 292.

I had both a 200 and 250 in the '70 Mavericks I owned and neither one had exhaust manifold gaskets. Neither had been removed prior to my removing the heads.

I found a partial sheet that looks like it was glued on the inside of my spare tire rim. The wheel and tire are still original and has not seen much use.

Anyway, trucks came with a type of screw jack and they lifted by the axles.

A lot of cars back then didn't have oil filters either. Filters were used on some higher priced cars or were available as options.
