I'd go the larger with the three rings if you're comfortable with it, dont worry about what may happen 'later' Lawrie because the way you build things it will probably outlast you and I ! Anyway...

The drums seem to be a very good product , I did have issue with the kit , they had welded a part wrong and when doing up the wheel it would lock up, did damage the drum a little , I contacted them...

I run one in my 35 pickup. Its a cheap brand but does pull amps tho'. If I was in the U.S. I'd go a Spal. 16" I use a Davies /Craig digital thermo fan switch [very easy]...

Seems the only one we have here is Penrite mild EP. GL4 the tech said too me it sits just under a 140.

This is what I do. Make sure your taper is clean, no grease or anything between the surfaces [others may go into detail about matching the surfaces] nice...

Carbs should be .043 mains and 69 pvs sea level up to 5000ft.
If the cam is stock you should be able to get it closer to 600 rpm.
Just vacuum time it to best and back off 1" Hg and try it . ...

Yeah tried one of those pumps... But the simplest thing Ive ever done was put speed bleeders in. If its a single circuit system dont push the pedal all the way to the floor! I found just slow steady...
