Nice car, what are your goals for this? Do you want to restore it to look like the day it left the showroom?, or fix what need to be fixed and drive it as is.
I would probably try to find some trim...

New wheels for my spare flathead

Put some Harbor Freight casters on my stand from Stumpy's fab works, now I can roll my spare flathead around the shed.

Probably just a preference, my '41 has both pumps, the electric is on a spring loaded toggle, I hold it on for a few seconds until I hear the sound of the electric pump change then the car starts...

Thanks for the memories, my Dad had a '53 Merc two door sedan, 4 of us kids in the back, Mom and Dad in front, a 14 foot rowboat on the roof rack and an outboard in the trunk, off to the lake we went.
