Re: Are there PDF books by Les Andrews

It would be nice, but Jim is right. If it were out there in pdf, it would soon be everywhere. paboot: You could always scan certain sections from your own copy of the book and save it in pdf to...

Re: New to the forum and questions (lot!)

Like others have said, the hand brake on all but the early 28's is not really an emergency brake as such. You can really turn your rear brakes into a mess by using the parking brake as an emergency...

Re: Apco accessory choke and carb adjustment

Perhaps it was made to put the choke/GAV at a more convenient distance for the driver, or for right-hand drive cars. I have never seen a RHD car, but it would seem that the choke rod would be in the...

Re: Turn Signal Kit - new upgrade

This is the turn signal I use and I love it. The turn sensor would be a definite plus.

Re: Help!--need some interior photos of 29 Tudor

Re: Help!--need some interior photos of 29 Tudor

Fred:

I am in the same boat in many respects, and I have just ordered my kit from Classtique but I won't have it for a few more weeks. The instructions I have seen say to install the side headers...

Re: Cold Weather Shifting

Up here in Washington State, it gets cold but admittedly not as cold as the midwest! I noticed right off in the winter that it takes a mile or two for the transmission to warm up. Yes, when cold...

Re: Garage heat

I use a 60,000 BTU Propane torpedo heater. When in the 30's I can get the garage to 50's and the ceiling is entirely open rafters and no insulation anywhere.

Re: Ahooha

The horn gets its ground from the wire going to the horn button on the steering wheel, and unlike the headlights, the horn is not electrically grounded through its physical mount.

So, the ground...

Re: Help Re-Wooding the inside of 29 Tudor

I initially did what everyone else did and commented about top wood. I did not do body wood, but I do know that the rear window wood is all held in by nails, so you have to remove the rear window...

Re: The Can-Am Model A Reliability Run;"Mt.St.Helens, "A" moment to remember.

Benny:

Re: Clutch stuck

The lever that connects the pedal linkage to the clutch shaft may be broken. A common issue and relatively easy to fix. Check and see if that is the case.

Re: battery relocation

I vote for leaving it under the floorboards. A pain to pull out but I got a battery picker-upper and other than the weight, the picker-upper makes it a lot easier.

Re: 29 Tudor Gas tank lace

Actually, from that one picture, the alignment does not look bad at all. Hard to tell without looking at both sides, but if the other side looks as good as the one shown, I would stop right there...
