Re: Holley 1901 choke pull off is weak.

Are you sure the vacuum channel that's drilled in the intake manifold is completly clear ?
The piston should be a good fit and slide freely, but not sloppy. No o-rings on the piston though.

Re: Holley 94 4 bolt base?

The last years of the Lincoln V12 used a 4 bolt base 94 type carb. Would probably be pretty rare.
I think there were some non Ford applictations that used the 4 bolt too, like maybe IHC trucks....

Re: Outside rear view mirror question

I remember on my Father's new '63 Dodge, the driver's door mirror was a factory option.

Re: Carb issue?

What cadillac512 said, plus check for slop in the accereator pump link. When you open the throttle the pump link and pump rod shoud move down with the slightest movement of the throttle.

Re: 1952 Mercury Diff Question

Pretty sure the Merc in '52 to '54 had the rear axle that was like the Ford pass cars. Merc got the Dana with rear cover in '55 like the Ford Wagons, Thunderbirds and Police interceptor pass cars.

Re: carb jet size

The Walker # 15302B carb kit works well. I've used many of them. It has the correct power valve that seals well too.
Available through O'Reilly's auto parts and on EBAY. Made in the USA.
Also,...

Re: carb jet size

I would make sure the power valve isn't leaking or ruptured before you start changing main jets. Over the years Holley 94 jet sizes varied from about #50 to #57 depending on the year and if car or...

Re: Oil canister for EAB 52 Ford

This is, except for the carb and air filter, a stock 52 EAB Fordomatic. ( now someone is gonna inform me that Fordomatics ain't EAB's ).

Fordomatics are EAB's too, but 8BA heads aren't.

Re: "lil red" 1965 Mercury Comet Caliente

All this talk and pictures about the Comet, with no mention of which engine is under the hood, other thn a picture of 8 dirty spark plugs and a right side exhaust manifold.
So, I assume it's a 289,...

Re: 56 f100

Too late, the rudeness has already spilled out. I prefer a Ford engine in a Ford too, but there is nothing wrong with a small block Chevy. Especially because they are cheaper to build.
Come on,...

Re: Power Valves for 94 Style Carbs

The Walker carburetor kit (#15302B) has the correct style power valve for a Holley 94.
O'Reilley's auto parts has Walker kits. At least in my area they do.

Re: 57 Merc data decode and identification

And Mecury was the only one that made a true two door hardtop wagon, as well as a 4 door version. Other American companies made true hard top wagons, but they were 4 doors.

Re: 57 Merc data decode and identification

"SCUTTLE BUTT has it the MEL 410 was to go to the 57 MERC. FORD had casting issues with the MEL and production was delayed. MERC went with the LYB 368 for a PREMIUM ENGINE that year. The MEL 410 then...

Re: 57 Merc data decode and identification

According to my info 64A is a Monterey two door sedan (B pillar post). 63A is a two door hard top Monterey Phaeton.
The 312 and 368 Lincoln Y-Blocks both have two studs coming through the valve...

Re: Carter Model B&B carburetor help

After going back to the website, I saw that the exploded view was actually an updraft cast iron carb. I don't think that's what you friend's truck has, but I could be mistaken.

Re: Carter Model B&B carburetor help

There's an exploded view of the carb on Mike's Caruretor website that I listed above.
Pretty sure it agrees with what you have. Take a look.

Re: Carter Model B&B carburetor help

Mike's Carburetor lists several carb kits for the Carter BB,
www.carburetor-parts.com

There are also picturs of the carb and pictures of the parts on a parts list.

Also, I don't think the BB...

Re: 1956 Fairlane on Assembly Line

That picture must be staged. They would never install the front clip before the body got decked. Plus I don't think they would allow people that close to the line to watch their car being built. I've...
