Zenith Carb Questions.

I have a 3 year old Zenith-1. Would like to find conscientious on several discrepancies.

What is more important?

1.The float being level with the inverted top cover & 1" from float seam to...

Re: Hubley Scale models what scale are they?

Here is how I did my Hubley Sedan. I find it odd how the tops of the front side windows tip down in the front. Would that be to avoid copyright infringement?

Re: Did all A's come with a gas tank spark arrester

There's a gizmo in the supplier catalogs called A's Tank Syte.
Heat bent plastic mirror fits over gas opening; lets you see fuel level
while filling without leaning over.
Still takes some patience...

HoodSprung

Don't know if this is a common problem. The curved section of my driver side upper hood section does not follow the contour of the cowl at the sharpest bend. It does follow the contour of the grill...

Or in my case, one day the air filter shook loose and thank goodness I had the engine pans installed!

Smile Re: Odometer yes, Speedometer no

Yeah, I was reading those. Sounds pretty hairy!
May check out those rebuilders if the decal isn't it like 1930 Coupe said.
Thanks

Odometer yes, Speedometer no

1931 round speedometer... has worked well last 2 years.
Now randomly stays at zero while driving but odometer continues to register miles. Sometimes speedo will jump to 5 mph by tapping on the...

Re: Pros and cons on Zenith 13922 carburetor

[QUOTE=Skeezixx;748172]I have one and like it. The "T Valve" replaces the GAV and you set it once and forget it.

The parts to rig a fuel line to it I found off the shelf at Lowe's Hardware.

Hi...

Re: Lean-to-the-left....

This seems to be a tricky thing to fix.
I've recently replaced both front and rear springs.
The front was just worn out.
The rear had a snapped off center bolt which let most the leaves to shift...

Re: Front motor mount, somethings not quite right.

Any reason why Les Andrews would neglect to say "remove crank pulley, then pull yoke out of cross member."?
Have rear mounts loose, engine up until linkage hitting firewall.
Still need another .5"...

Re: Fan Removal while mounted to head???

Hi Springerpete,
I'm doing same job. Did your belt not behave because of pulley alignment or that it rides up further in the new pulley groove? Did it just wear in?

Removing Radiator

Having a wild time removing radiator on my 31. (replacing 4 blade fan with new 2 blade) Thought I would have it boiled out while apart.
Seems it doesn't want to twist enough to clear the radiator...

Re: Shocks: Necessity or luxury?

I too recommend Ron Paul. I added the missing shocks on my tudoor and it made a big difference in ride and control. Your '29 coupe sounds like a very nice car. Why leave out a major part of the...

Re: Where EXACTLY is the serial number on the frame?

Why can’t we have a national program where every Model A or T with a current title have its current VIN stamped on a VISIBLE part of the frame and make it acceptable in all 50 states?

Re: Alinment of Front end

Mine did this, too. I found the tie rod & drag link were both bent after they had been rubbing for years.

Re: Radio Added to Model A

I'm thinking about scratch building a steering column controller and a speaker box mounted on the passenger firewall. Mock up a dial back lit by a 3W bulb wired to instrument lights. Run wires...

Re: oil leak

My Buick leaked all over until I started driving it every couple days. Then it was just quarter sized spots occasionally.

Re: Radio Added to Model A

I wonder how they dealt with ignition noise from the bare spark wires?
