Another oil low oil pressure hint is if a bypass oil filter has been installed without a 60 thousands reducer in the inlet oil line to the oil pressure will read very low.

About the ration stickers, as I remember the A got 5 gal, B got 20 gal per week and C sticker was allowed all they needed for their necessary war related business. It was to conserve rubber tires...

As long as the ph stays 7.0, neurtal it can't react with anything. As soon as you add additives, unless they are neutral, things change. Nitrozene tape is the easiest and cheapest way to test...

I agree with post #9 plus pour a couple of oz of Marvel Mystery Oil down the carburator while it is running to the point of almost stoping the engine.

I don't see how they ever got the Center of Gravity (CG) anywhere near correct with the heavy engine behind what looks to be the wing spar position. I'll bet it was a doozy to fly if it did ever fly...

Any engine with babbot bearings should not be cooled with ethylene base antifreeze. If the ethylene type happens to get in crankcase (Oil) it will ruine the bearings. Propylene will not and is pet...
