Re: Front one piece seal 8ba

Not a lot of miles on either of mine, but no leaks and I like em. My reading here has indicated the seal should work okay with the spiral groove as well.

Re: Lifting a 8ba engine

Whenever I see it lifted by those carb studs, it isn't the studs I'm thinking about. I've seen an awful lot of busted cast iron on other things. I'm sure the carb stud approach works fine, just can't...

Re: Warning about c&g

I should stay out of this, but the thread title is is kind of an incitement. I've bought parts from C and G four or five times now, and I am 100 percent satisfied in every respect. You just can't...

Re: Polishing a fire extinguisher

My new go-to cleaner is Marvel Mystery Oil. Seriously, it works great. Last thing I shined up with it was a vintage actual MMO metal can I found in the trash.

Re: My Summer Project

I couldn't remember which way it went. I kinda wanted a new tank for my 50, but for your same reasons I spent hours cleaning my old one.

My 50 has the cover just like 38coop's. I'd have assumed all the 49-50 cars did, but learning otherwise.

46 Pickup Holes in Hood Area?

For about 3 months I been figuring it would dawn on me what these factory holes are for. But it hasn't happened yet. The two big holes just to the lower rear of the hinge pieces in my blurry photo....
