The two pictures posted may be somewhat deceiving when viewing them on my small cell phone screen, but to me there does not appear to be 3/4" clearance between the screen and the bottom inside...

You really need to be careful that the steering shaft does not get bent when pressing the '37 worm gear in place. If either the steering shaft or the horn/light switch rod gets bent, the headlights...

Charlie, I had that done two years ago, both eyes. It was such an amazing thing to be able to see so we'll again, w/o glasses, like I could when in my 20's. It was so quick and painless.

Our first attempt on this swap was to keep the '36 frame mounting plate and drill the extra hole in the steering box casting, exactly as suggested in these posts, and in our case, it would not work...
