Re: Bending Overflow Tube

How, or is it even possible, to pressurize an original radiator cap for the '36 or other similar caps?

Re: Another turn signal question...need advice from electrical guru

Don't remember the part number, i think it is NOVITA EP35, but there is a flasher that is mechanical rather than load sensitive for the 12v system, they probably make one for the 6v system too.

Re: Suggestions on Battery Cut off switch

The previous owner located my battery behind the seat on the passenger side, thus my battery area is empty. I located the cut-out switch as part of the cover thinking any future owner could just...

Re: Need a Project

Looks like another one of those projects that will take lots of time and money and be worth half of what you have in it when you are done.

Re: Electrical question on horn on 36

Just curious, when you removed the horn button AND LONG ROD, did you have to unbolt the steering column from the dash and push the steering column down to pull the rod out through the rear window?

Re: 1936 Ford seat spring clip

Not sure what you mean by "seat clip", and is this for a '36 3 or 5 window?

Here is what my seat support lever looks like in my '36 5 window.

Re: 1936 trunk handle lock - Need help

I think it is vertical for both the rumble and trunk models. Take a close look at the attached photos from the Classy Ford V8 book. It looks like it is vertical on this trunk.

And for me, because...

Re: 1936 trunk handle lock - Need help

Take a look at ebay item #222706284087 factory photo. The handle on the rumble seat lid looks vertical. Not sure why Ford would install it horizontal on the trunk model. As it has to be opened from...

Re: Need Photos and Suggestions

I have the same/similar question for the '36. Anyway to install a key and locking assembly on the left side door of a 5-window, below the handle? What was used in Australia? Do they have a key,...

Re: Volvo OD in a '36?

Thanks for the links to the great photos. The drive shaft tunnel seems to be the only problem, due to lack of clearance. With a pick up bed, there seems to be lots of clearance.

From the photos,...

Re: Volvo OD in a '36?

Thanks, There must more clearance in the Model As. The more forward it were to go in a '36, the less travel room there would be.

Re: Volvo OD in a '36?

I just did some measuring, the Volvo J-Type OD is 6.5 inches in diameter. The '36 drive shaft tunnel is about 5 3/8, so not enough clearance, the tunnel would still have to be cut and widened about...

Re: Volvo OD in a '36?

Yes, the Volvo is nicely smaller than the Mitchel, just don't know if it still requires modifying the torque tube tunnel.

This photo is from an earlier posting.

Volvo OD in a '36?

I have seen the threads about putting a Volvo overdrive in Model As. Any one know if it has been tried in a '36? My biggest concern is body clearance. I don't like the Mitchel as I don't want to cut...

Re: Emergency Brake suggestions ?

No idea if it is similar to the '36 5 window, but what I did was take one of the manual brake rods, straightened out one end, cut it about 12 inches long, threaded the other end, and threaded the...

Re: 600/16 Tires
