Re: 1936 PU original colors, purple and yellow?

THESE had nothing to do with "fleet orders"! These were built at The Ford Rouge Plant under a Ford program where certain dealers allowed potential customers to 'try-out' these trucks as...

Re: 1936 PU original colors, purple and yellow?

Re: '32 woodie - holes in cowl

I don't believe I've ever seen an antenna like that on a car anywhere near that early, although that is probably what those holes were for. I remember seeing those on late '40s and some earlier '50s...

Re: 8 ba

We sorta have an oxymoron here. You say you have a 3.25" bore, yet a 0.040" overbore equals an actual bore of 3.227". Is it possible you mis-measured that 3.25" by a few thousandths? Nevertheless,...

Re: Customs - The Beginnings with Barris

GEORGE Barris was nothing but a Bondo-bandit 'hack job' that figured-out how to peddle some good cars that he trashed into bad cars, strictly for the bucks! Now his brother Sam was a whole 'nuther...

Re: Should I be concerned?

It looks to me like it has an 'early' style intake manifold on this 'late' engine. If so, I'd be concerned about how the engine will breathe like 19Fordy asks above, although it appears that oil can...

Re: A few questions on a 8BA

Just make sure that your engine stand has FOUR wheels instead of three for stability. 8BAs are OK to hang from rear of block, but one of those exhaust adapters should still work in your traditional...
