That front spring is worn out. The 1/4 inch spacer verifies this, a sagging front end decreases castor causing shimmy. A shopping cart front castors that have been smashed into parking curbs will...

Go for a long drive! 1-2 shift at 5 to 8 mph, 2-3 shift at 12 to 15 mph and no need to double clutch ! It in Fords owners manual

No problems shifting into second or third ? You always double clutch, does your engine have a nice slow idle ? If my idle is just 100 rpms higher it will grind gears!

Yep turning the switch off and coasting and then turning it on you get a bang! And then after that a new muffler! I was a dumb teenage way back then, please don't tell my grandkids.

Hopefully you drain the old gas and using some good gas, I would put some Sea Foam and MMO in the tank and let it run. Slow idle first then a faster idle and rev it up ever so offen. Putting some MMO...

I rebuilt my distributor recently. Replaced the one piece shaft back to original two piece shaft. A noise that I had went away, also the high speed miss went away!

It didn't line up right with the Zenith, why would it line up with the Tilly ?

Maybe the frame is sagging, body blocks bad ? To get by..... removing the rubber grommet inside the car just might...

NO! #3 with the larger bores at 4inches need .004 clearance. The two back clylinders run hotter than the front two. I would make all four .004 clearance, Someone had problems with his engine...
