64 Galaxie door panel chrome striping

The door panels on the Galaxie have chrome tap layered on plastic strips in the door panel. The tape is coming off. Any suggestion on where to buy the replacing the tape

The instruction are simple BUTTTT the key cylinder will not come out. Just turn the key to acc and insert a paper clip size wire in the pin hole and turn counter clock wise more and pull it out. ...

I found the regulator has a condenser wired to the regulator "A" terminal. Any idea what it is for? Cannot find it on the wiring diagram.

I found the problem. The mechanic that replaced the brake shoes used 2 hold down spring sets not four. Soon as I installed the hold down springs, everything went good: temp down no squealing noises...

I had the same problem on my Galaxie and replaced the regulator. Bingo, now the generator charge reads correctly and on board voltage meter no longer constantly showing the same charge level.

I did the brakes in two phases: 1 review of wheel cylinder leak found brake lines very rusty (original) and single master cyl => I installed new brake lines, dual master cylinder, wheel cylinders...

The gauges are not reading and have replaced the Constant Voltage Regulator behind the cluster panel. Is there anyway to work around this regulator or test. Just need the fuel gauge to work.

yep, have flair nut wrench and it rounded it off. This 50+ year old nut is frozen on. I was jut told that AC Delco rust penetrant and inhibitor is suppose to work wonders.

loosen brake line nuts

having heck of a time trying to break loose the brake line nuts on 50 year old system. I've rounded off 2 nuts. I heard of freezing them, torching them which is best for doing minimal damage?
