A friend bought a new 62 XL Sunliner with 406, said they came on the car. I still have the engine.

Re: What tire pressures do I use frnt and rear

Had no idea the pressure had been upped so far on newer tires. I know on my truck if I have no load the recommended pressure make it a bone shaker. I don't know if the door labels have you set it to...

Re: 170 6 cylinder stalls on acceleration

It sounds as others have said the accelerator pump. I could be wrong but I think those early 6's had a kind of weird loadomatic type distributor along with a spark control valve on carb. They worked...

Re: 1958 Ranch Wagon Front Disc Conversion

I'm not attracted to the disk conversions myself. The factory had HD parts and usually that just meant from a heavier car or police. I've driven from east coast to west and never felt the need for...

Re: 64 Galaxie door panel chrome striping

I think I remember some talk of using automotive chrome tape, just google it. Seems like the fox Mustang guys are faced with similar problem and using the tape. Just a thought but if it all comes off...

Re: 50 versus 51 F-1 hoods

Been to many years but the appearance of the 2 years is different. Believe the hood latch is different. Have been involved with an entire frontend swap and that worked. Might try Ford Truck...

Re: Removing oxidation from NOS radiator core

Re: Cleaning engine out in '40 Sedan

My father in law had a car that his boys had been tuning up for him. The carburetor was so messed up when he turned the car over to me, running extremely rich. I fixed the carb but the oil was black...

Re: Change Out from Ram, Control Valve? To?

The 95 pump has the pressure valve under the outlet port fitting. Simple to change, Should be in shop manual. Same pump was used on all car and truck lines by varying the pressure. F-350's to...
