Re: 1936 vs 1937 Emergency Brake Lever

I converted my '36 to hydraulics last year. For the emergency brake cable, I used one of the original mechanical rods, straightened it out, shortened it, threaded it and ran it through the hole as...

Re: Firestone tires Too Big?

I had the same problem with the Coker 6.50x16 Wide Whitewall Radials, they were an inch too tall and would not clear the front fenders when turning.

If yours don't clear or you don't like them,...

Re: wet floor 30 A rumble seat area

This is for a '36, but I am sure you can come up with a similar idea, I wire brushed the rusty floor, then put on some heavy undercoating. Next I got a large sheet of aluminum and bent it to fit the...

Does anyone have a right rear fender off of their '36, I have a 5 window, that they could look at, and take a picture, to see if there is a curve at the bottom? I am sure I did not bend the fenders...

Re: Another turn signal question...need advice from electrical guru

Re: Electrical question on horn on 36

Just curious, when you removed the horn button AND LONG ROD, did you have to unbolt the steering column from the dash and push the steering column down to pull the rod out through the rear window?

Not sure what you mean by "seat clip", and is this for a '36 3 or 5 window?

Re: 1936 trunk handle lock - Need help

I think it is vertical for both the rumble and trunk models. Take a close look at the attached photos from the Classy Ford V8 book. It looks like it is vertical on this trunk.

And for me, because...

Re: 1936 trunk handle lock - Need help

Take a look at ebay item #222706284087 factory photo. The handle on the rumble seat lid looks vertical. Not sure why Ford would install it horizontal on the trunk model. As it has to be opened from...
